Kids Ministry

Kids Konnection. Our congregation delights in bringing children to Jesus. In the Bible, we read how Jesus called children to Himself and how He loved them. Caring for children and providing a safe and engaging environment for them to learn about Jesus is a big part of our mission. Our children sing songs and are taught lessons from the Bible and the life of Jesus. Children encounter the Ten Commandments, God’s plan of salvation and love for mankind, the fruit of the Spirit, and stories from the lives of Bible heroes like David

Vacation Bible School. In the summer, we host a Vacation Bible School – a week of activities, games and stories that help children to learn, and be, more like Jesus. We'd love to have your children join us.

POSTPONE SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES UNTIL FUTHER NOTICE DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS OF DISTANCING - Sunday School. Sterling Church of God Sunday School begins each Sunday at 9:45 a.m.. Adult Classes have bibles lessons on discipleship, and Biblical lessons to live for today for Christ. Our Adult classes will grow you in your faith and understanding. We are a warm and genuine family with a wide range of ages, both marrieds and singles. The heart of the class is a lively verse by verse study of God's Word filled with great discussion on how to apply it in our daily lives. Each weekly lesson has been designed for your growth in God's Word. We draw closer together as we learn the word together.  We would love for you to join us. 

For special occasions like Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, the Church presents a program to share the gospel to others. 

SENIORS Ministry

Primetimers. POSTPONE GATHERING UNTIL FUTHER NOTICE DUE TO COVID DISTANCING - The Sterling Church of God Seniors meet every first Monday of the Month at the Hutcheson Plantation. Bring a side dish and dessert to share. Enjoy fellowship, food and devotion together.

Women's Ministry

The purpose of the Women’s  Ministry is to grow in our relationships with God and each other through Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry, and Evangelism. Our ministries focus on the following five purposes for which we were created

    Our response is WORSHIP, loving God back.

  • Purpose #2 – You were formed for God’s family.
    Our response is FELLOWSHIP, loving and relating to God’s family.

    Our response is DISCIPLESHIP, developing our Christ-like character.

    Our response is MINISTRY, serving believers.

    Our response is EVANGELISM, serving and sharing the “Good News” with unbelievers.

 

Men’s Ministry

Our men’s ministry is built around helping others when in need.   The Men's Ministry meet o to discuss outreaches, helping seniors in need, and the sharing of each other’s burdens.

Outreach Ministry 

Sterling is a church wanting to help those who are in need. Giving a hand up to encourage those who may need help with clothing or food.
